A Free Virtual Field Trip

In the early 1980's the band Men at Work recorded a song that asked "Do you come from a land down under?" That song stirred alot of interest in visiting this mysterious land, a land filled with dazzling scenery under big blue skies. Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. It's about the same size as the 48 mainland states of the USA. The country consists of a mainland and outlying islands. The mainland is the world's smallest, flattest continent.

This virtual field trip has scenes from all over the country. Underwater pictures of the Great Barrier Reef, kangaroo habitat, and Twelve Apostles are a few of the sights you will see on this virtual field trip. I have also included links to topics on history and culture including the Aborigines, the 2000 Olympics, and local food flavor.

The guide includes links that provide over 1 1/2 hours total time of video including the landscape and culture.

I have spent countless hours searching the internet for free, educational, good quality videos that can enhance your child's study of Australia, or give you a little preview if you are planning a trip. You will recieve a list of links complete with running time, summary, and helpful information about each videos.
