Happy Phonics

by Chelsea
(West Point, Utah)

We used this program after a lot of frustration with our extremely hyperactive son. We needed a supplement to Explode the Code, but the other programs we'd tried just weren't holding his attention. I ordered Happy Phonics and what I got was a packet of printed cardstock. It was a LOT of work cutting out the pieces and grouping them into envelopes by game. The instructions are not specific about what to do when, but are just a general guideline. With that said, my son begged to do these and the ideas really stuck. I can't say I was always thrilled about playing these games over and over again, but they did make my life so much easier! If you are struggling teaching an active child, I highly recommend this program!
