Homeschooling BenefitsPros of HomeschoolingAfter researching, I knew there were many homeschooling benefits. The Benefits To Homeschooling page lists ten of my favorite advantages of homeschooling when you consider the big homeschooling picture. After years of homeschooling, there are other pros of homeschooling that I think about on a daily basis. ![]() Here’s my "everyday" list of the things I enjoy. If you are looking for some cons to balance these benefits, you will want to read the cons of homeschooling page as soon as you are finished with this to get a fair and balanced view. *grin* 1. The kids aren’t as tired because I don't have to drag them out of bed everyday at the "crack of dawn 30." 2. The homeschool group here is very big and has alot of activities. ![]() 3. I have more time with my kids. 4. The kids are more agreeable when they are rested. 5. They can learn to be responsible for getting ready and getting chores done in the morning before school time. 6. I don't spend and hour on the road every day just dropping off and picking up kids from school. ![]() More pros of homeschooling... 7. They are not exposed to as many germs. 8. We can do a lot of cool stuff with a 2:1 student/teacher ratio. 9. We can work on manners all the time. 10. We have more control over who their friends are. 11. Going to the store can be a learning experience. 12. We have time to read library books they check out. 13. They will be around to learn to clean house and help. 14. They can go outside when the weather is nice rather than sitting in a classroom with a small window and a 20 minute recess. ![]() So, there you have it.
