Have you ever wanted to travel to Japan? This free virtual field trip will expose you to the geography, religion, clothing, history and people of the Land of the Rising Sun.

Japan is a country with startling contrasts, from the bustling cities, to the pristine countryside.

Also called Nippon, this country consists of 4 main islands and is approximately the size of Montana. Its culture has evolved greatly over the years, but many traditional elements remain.

This virtual field trip has scenes from all over the country. Shinto shrines, the cherry blossom festival, and Mt. Fuji are a few of the stops. I have also included links to topics on history and culture including sumo wrestling, origami, bonsai and more.

The guide includes links that provide over 1 1/2 hours total time of video including the landscape and culture.

I have spent countless hours searching the internet for free, educational, good quality videos that can enhance your child's study, or give you a little preview if you are planning a trip. You will recieve a list of links complete with running time, summary, and helpful information about each videos.
