Time 4 Writing

I have struggled to find a homeschool writing curriculum I have been pleased with. There just always seem to be some "gaps" in the instruction. And the method of instruction is often uninspired, at best. Last year, I signed my son up for a Time4Writing writing class. His particular class was called "Basic Mechanics" for Middle School, because I knew that some of his gaps were in that area. Once we signed up, all my son had to do was go to the website and click on his lessons. They were ready and waiting for him. The instructions were easy to understand, even for my son, who happens to have dyslexia. But my son's favorite part of the class was the personal feedback. His class teacher, Jennifer, left personal feedback on each and every one of his lessons. He LOVED having someone besides Mom give him input on his work. I am thinking of signing him up for one of the Essay classes next. Time4Writing (associated with the Time4Learning homeschool curriculum program), also includes classes in beginning sentence writing, and beginning paragraph writing for elementary students, paragraph and essay classes for middle school students, and mechanics, essay, essay for standardized test, and research paper classes for high schoolers. |
