Wordly Wise

Wordly Wise was recommended to me by a friend a couple of months ago so I reviewed her books and decided to give it a shot. I love it!

I use this curriculum for my 11 year old daughter (5th grade) combined with ABeka Language B for her Language Arts. The Wordly Wise adds to her day what is missing from ABeka. It focuses on vocabulary and reading comprehension rather than sentence diagramming and memorization. She enjoys and prefers the Wordly Wise above her regular Language and so do I. She especially enjoys the crossword puzzles at the end of each lesson!

I also use Wordly wise for my 8 year old son (2nd grade). I prefer this approach for him so much that I have used it in place of his regular Language. I have him read the stories out loud to me and then he works independently on the lessons. I have him answer the questions about the story with complete sentences which is good for handwriting and spelling as well.

I highly recommend Wordly Wise for all ages.
